Today’s reading: Romans 6, 7, 8, Proverbs 23

Rom. 8:18-19 –

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Romans chapter eight is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. It is a victorious section of the Word of God that focuses on the purpose of redemption – God begetting sons who will reveal Him to the world Jesus died for. The passage above tells us that all creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. Paul goes on to tell us our ultimate purpose is to be conformed to the image of God’s Son – Jesus. True sons of God are revealed when we manifest Jesus.

Throughout this chapter the apostle Paul outlines principles or keys that are vital in manifesting Jesus and standing out as real sons of God. The following are some bullet points of these principles:

• Do not walk in guilt and condemnation – v. 1
• To be carnally minded is death. To be spiritually minded is life and peace – v. 6
• Follow the leading of the Spirit – v. 14
• Focus on the eternal over the temporal – v. 18
• When you don’t know what to pray for or how to pray, pray in the Spirit – v. 26-27
• Make it your primary aim to manifest Jesus – v. 28-29
• Know that God is for you so it doesn’t matter who is against you – v. 31
• Know that God did not spare His Son so He will not spare any other good thing on your behalf – v. 32
• Nothing shall separate you from the love of Christ – v. 35

I want to focus on this final point. The only way to truly manifest Jesus is to receive a revelation of His love for you. I am talking about a revelation that is so strong you can say with Paul “I am persuaded that nothing (including cruel people, devastating circumstances, and demonic activity) will separate me from God’s love.” This means John 3:16 is more real to you than the ten commandments. People need to see modern-day examples of sons of God who know and demonstrate the love of God.

Would the true sons of God with this kind of revelation of His love, please stand up and manifest Jesus? All creation is waiting for it!
